PERFORMANCE GROUP

WHO: The DOBC performance group is a completely student run group of about 35-40 students, who all share a passion for dance. We perform varying styles of dance including jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, contemporary, pointe, and hip hop. Every September, we hold auditions for experienced dancers who want to join the group, and if you are selected you get to join the DOBC family!

WHAT: The performance group works year round on learning student choreography for our big annual spring show and other performances such as BC's Arts Fest and the ALC Showdown. Our big show is usually three nights in the Robsham Theater with dances that the members choreographed.

WHEN:  We hold mandatory conditionings twice a week for our dancers on top of rehearsals for the selected pieces each performer is in. Conditionings are usually an hour long every Monday and Wednesday night, followed by rehearsals for performance pieces. Rehearsals are held Monday, Wednesday, and Sundays, however the days our dancers are present depends on how many and which pieces they are in. Dancers must be in minimum of 2 dances, but most of our performers choose to be in many more because they just can't get enough!

If you love to dance, and want to continue dancing in college, come audition for DOBC!!
